Beyoglu – Mixed Use

This is a mixed use project on Ahududu Street – Beyolu – İstanbul.; that 5 parcels are involved. After analyzing the streets that form Beyoglu, I tried to question the interplay between the peestrians and the facades that feed the street.

As places like exhibitions, dance classes, playgrounds, restaurants come together; various users come together, therefore those places being active on different hours, make the street alive.

On the house facades, the rhythm is followed on different notes. On the sliver part, each function ends up with a proper facade and proper transparency. Its about the space making itself perceived from a distance.

While it becomes an attractor with its connection to streets, it produces a wall effect to the adjacent school. It allows the surrounding buildings to breathe by standing a little back.
